Calling all of my singles, Valentine’s Day is coming up! Don’t have an extra special someone on this oh so special occasion, that is completely okay! Now, I know sometimes single people get down in the dumps during this time BUT, you don’t need a significant other to celebrate this day. All you need is LOVE, SELF-LOVE. Let’s transform our thinking, picture Valentine’s Day as a day to do whatever you want, treat yo self. Now, now, I do realize that we are in a pandemic and maybe we are not able to do the things that we typically would otherwise. I’m here to encourage you, living in quarantine does not mean love is canceled.
Valentine’s Self-Care ideas
- Buy yourself some chocolate, which is the best way to get over being single if I do say so myself
- Send yourself some flowers
- Write yourself a love letter-write about what you love about yourself
- Plan a solo movie night, maybe a not so romantic comedy!
- Have a zoom session with your besties, a Galentine’s Day if you will, and pamper yourselves
- Spend the day baking- find some new recipes that you would like to try out
- Make dinner-get dressed up, slip on your high heels or whatever you feel comfortable in and have dinner by yourself
- Dance it out-put on your favorite song and dance all your feelings away
- Take a break from social media-all those couples pictures can wait to be viewed tomorrow
- Lastly, enjoy the day, have a relaxing bath while reading your favorite book

This is your day, so what if you are spending it by yourself. After all, February 14th is just another day on the calendar. Walk with your head held high and be that confident human that I know you are! Like Rupal said, “If you don’t love yourself how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an ‘Amen’”. Happy self-love day, babe!
