Keeping Your Balance During the Pandemic (Continued)

Cook at Home Instead of Eating Out

We are too busy with work, our kids, or school to cook at home. You often sit back and say eating out is really the best option here, but is it? I’m not judging, I too have been a victim to the delicious smells and wondrous sites myself. Eating out is not good for you because you can’t control the portion size and portion control is a big factor in weight loss. Another factor that you can’t control when eating out is the ingredients and the salt level. One thing the pandemic has done is provided time to examine what we are eating. I have been to some restaurants where people are heavy-handed with the salt in the kitchen, but the food is good so we just eat no matter the ingredients or the salt level. You end up getting a stomach ache which leads to you regretting eating that greasy, salty food. I know it well! We cannot use that as an excuse we can make great and delicious meals at home that might make you not want to eat out again.

You are probably like “did she just say that,” I said what I said. If we want to have a healthy lifestyle we have to make a change, like this post if you agree. There are so many healthy and delicious recipes that you can get online. I subscribe to New York Times Cooking to see what I can whip up quickly, whether it is a main course or dessert. You can do complicated, you can do simple, but just, please do it at home.

I know this can be a daunting task. You’re thinking “This is the last thing that I want to do, can’t she give us something fun that we can do, anything but this”. We have more time on our hands than ever, so why not? Let’s clean till we can’t clean anymore! Don’t we all want our house to look like this
